Create the life you want...

Change your beliefs, change your world! It's that simple...
In the middle of a challenging situation or in the middle of a depression, it can be difficult to see the forest through the trees. We question ourselves. We ask our family and friends for advice about what to do. We bounce from option to option. While in search for the right answer, we prolong our unhappiness.

Nowadays, unhappiness is a common and accepted way of motivating ourselves and others. A parent gets unhappy with his child’s low grades believing his anger will motivate his child to do better. A neighbor gets angry with another because his dog barks at night believing that his anger will cause his neighbor to keep his dog inside. We condemn ourselves for getting drunk the night before believing it will help us from drinking again.

To avoid unhappiness from others, many of us do whatever is requested whether we want what was requested or not. We play “follow the leader” and, instead of creating our own lives, live lives designed by others. Some may refuse to give or receive any help or support; they seem to fight the system in the hope of not getting swallowed by it.

I can tell you that getting out of these traps and getting past unhappiness is a lot easier than you might imagine. When you feel bad, it's easy to believe it will never go away, that escape is impossible. However, by looking at the beliefs you hold, you can start to make immediate changes.

Many of my clients are surprised at how easy it is to become happier. They are especially surprised that the whole process of looking at their beliefs is really fun! I can tell you it is an empowering experience and I feel blessed to be able to help people make longlasting changes that lead to happiness and joy.

Who Do I Help?

Children and Adults in Life Transitions
Sickness, loss of a loved one, coming out to the world that you are gay, changing jobs, divorcing, quitting smoking.... Whether your current life transition has been thrust upon you or is the result of choices you've made, to have someone outside your situation helping you work through challenges and issues, and gaining clarity of vision and purpose is tremendously beneficial. When you're in the midst of a challenging situation, a brief moment in which you receive undivided attention of someone who is completely accepting and loving can make all the difference. Personal time specifically designed for you, where questions help you gain comfort and clarity, can create answers that really work for you and your situation.

Families with children with special needs
Over the last two years, I spent time in home based programs of children with special needs. During this time, it became clear to me that people who are trained to look at their beliefs have a huge advantage in creating relationships with these special children and in supporting their parents. Acceptance, love, and being present in the moment (instead of focussing on the long term future) really helps to create a learning environment that is fun and engaging for the child (as it is with anyone else in the world!)

My services have been employed to help volunteers and other workers look at their beliefs and how they impact what their interactions with special children. In our first session, most people share with me their beliefs related to what they should or should not do in order to effectively help the children with whom they're working. Their trying to get it right, to make no mistakes, holds them back from connecting and enjoying their time together. Can you imagine what happens when these "shoulds" disappear and, instead, each of us does what comes naturally? Breakthroughs occur; children learn and grow.

Reaching for the Sky
I believed that running was the most awful thing I could ever do! I believed that my fast beating heart and my sweating body were proof that running was unhealthy for me. As a result of these beliefs, I held myself back from ever exploring running.

And then one day, I started to explore my running beliefs and I came to the conclusion that running might in fact be very healthy. Today, I am training for a marathon and I have opened myself up to new opportunities I never dreamed off. Not only that, but I totally LOVE running. It's really amazing.

If you are holding back on what you want to accomplish or if you frequently find yourself saying "I can't do that!", my attitudinal coaching sessions can help you move beyond your current plateaus and scale new heights of accomplishment. Musicians, artists, writers, dancers, creative types in general, you can expand your skills by understanding the beliefs that hold you back.
